Luke surprised me for my birthday with a trip to Chiang Mai where we visited an orchid farm. I was amazed to learn that it takes 2 years for an orchid to reach the size pictured above.

















How cool would it be if we cultivated our native orchids for commercial sale in Australia?

Western Australian Orchids

Incredible orchid photography by Madfish WA. It makes me realise how little I know about the extensive range of wild orchids there are just in Western Australia. I also love some of the more descriptive names such as Two Tired Old Men, Fringed Mantis Orchid, Yellow China, and Winter Donkey.
